The Traditional Bachata Experience Nashville Has Been Waiting For
Inspired by Hispaniolan traditions and built on rhythm, connection, and community care..
Traditional Bachata Nashville is a welcoming home for learning traditional bachata in an accessible, joyful way. Our classes are designed to help every dancer feel confident, capable, and at ease on any dance floor.
We teach social dance with deep respect for the Dominican roots of traditional bachata. Our approach is inspired by the music, movement, and social traditions that shaped this dance, and we aim to honor them with accuracy, humility, and care.
In our classes, we focus on rhythm, presence, and improvisation instead of choreography. Students learn how to feel the music, listen to their partner, and move with ease rather than memorize long patterns.
Our goal is for every dancer to build real social dance skills and feel comfortable and confident in any community space.

Upcoming 6 Week Series
Now Open!
Mondays | 7-9:30pm | Global West
August 24 - September 28
There is nothing better than a dance that feels fun, engaging, expressive, and easy.
Not because it's simple, but because you're not second guessing every step.
This series is all about partnerwork. We'll spend six weeks making your transitions feel like butter through frame training, connection exercises, and lots of guided practice. Whether you dance as a lead or a follow, you'll build the skills to become a clear lead or a light, expressive follow.
We'll spend a lot of time talking about frame, weight transfer, and all the little details that make partnerwork feel effortless. They're the things people don't always notice, but they're exactly what make dancing feel so good.
Like every series at TBN, this class is designed for all levels. If you're newer to bachata, you'll absolutely be challenged, and that's okay. We believe everyone can learn the same concepts, no matter where they are in their journey. More experienced dancers will simply have the opportunity to explore those ideas at a deeper level.
By the end of these six weeks, our hope is simple. We want you to be feeling present and expressive with a partner while leading and/or following effortlessly.
